Methods and apparatus for translating a continuous-delivery delivery profile into a plurality of periodic bolus deliveries.
Claims20
A method of operating an ambulatory infusion device, comprising the step of:
- translating a stored continuous-delivery delivery profile into a plurality of periodic boluses with the ambulatory infusion device.
A method of operating an ambulatory infusion device, comprising the steps of:
- delivering periodic boluses with the ambulatory infusion device;
- and
- in response to a user-initiated bolus request, either
- delivering the user-initiated bolus at the end of a periodic bolus delivery if the user-initiated bolus request occurs during the periodic bolus delivery, or
- delivering the user-initiated bolus when the user-initiated bolus request is received if the user-initiated bolus request does not occur during a periodic bolus delivery.

- displaying a graphical representation of a continuous-delivery delivery profile and a graphical representation of a plurality of periodic bolus deliveries that are derived from the continuous-delivery delivery profile with the clinician's programming unit.
