Claims22
A process for separating tetrafluoroethylene from a mixture comprising tetrafluoroethylene and carbon dioxide, comprising contacting the mixture with at least one ionic liquid in which carbon dioxide is soluble to a greater extent than tetrafluoroethylene, and separating the tetrafluoroethylene from the mixture.
A kit comprising a first container that contains a mixture of TFE and CO2, a second container that contains one or more ionic liquids, and a connector to connect the first container to the second container.
