A process for the preparation of a compound of structural formula I:
- which comprises the cultivation of a Streptomyces sp. with ATCC# PTA-5942 (MA7338) or a natural or artificial mutant thereof in a nutrient medium and recovering the Compound I from the fermentation broth.
The Streptomyces sp. with ATCC accession number ATCC# PTA-5942 (MA7338).
