Methods, devices, systems, and computer program products for registration of multi-mode communications devices

A method according to claim 1 wherein registering comprises:

• receiving registration information for the multi mode communications device, at the multi mode communications device, over a first communications network;
• and
• transmitting the registration information for the multi mode communications device from the multi mode communications device over a second communications network responsive to receiving the registration information.

A method according to claim 1 wherein the method is computer implemented.

An electronic communications device comprising:

• a multi mode communications device configured to register for service by receiving and transmitting registration information over separate communications networks.

An system for registering a multi mode communications device for service, the system comprising:

• a registration server configured to register a multi mode communications device for service by receiving and transmitting registration information from/to the multi mode communications device over separate communications networks.

An electronic communications device comprising:

• a multi mode communications device configured for communications over multiple different networks via a single registered authenticated number used for routing of messages to/from the multi mode communications device by the multiple different networks.
