Abstract
A battery cover latching mechanism is provided. The battery cover latching mechanism includes a body member, a battery cover, and an elastic member. One end of the elastic member resists the body member, the other end of the elastic member resists the battery cover. The battery cover is attached to the body member. The battery is attached to the battery cover. The elastic member provides an elastic force to open the battery cover allowing the battery to be removed from the body member.

A battery cover latching mechanism used to latch a battery, comprising:
- a body member;
- a battery cover attached to the body member, the battery attached to the battery cover;
- and
- an elastic member, one end of the elastic member resisting the body member, the other end of the elastic member resisting the battery cover, the elastic member providing an elastic force to open the battery cover allowing the battery to be removed from the body member.
A battery cover latching mechanism for a portable electronic device, comprising:
- a body member defining a receiving space;
- a battery cover rotatably mounted to the body member, the battery cover forming limiting blocks for latching a battery, the receiving space accommodating the battery;
- wherein when the battery cover is unlocked from the body member, the battery cover is automatically opened relative to the body member such that the battery can be removed from the body member.
