Abstract
A transdermal drug delivery system (100) for providing controlled doses of a drug through the skin of a human or other animal is disclosed. In one embodiment, the transdermal drug delivery system (100) includes a substrate (110) designed to adhere to skin and a transdermal injector array (140) coupled to the substrate (110). The transdermal array (140) has one or more transdermal injectors (210, 220, 230) embedded within including a first transdermal injector (210) configured to administer or provide a first substance to the skin at a speed great enough to produce an appreciable breach in the surface of the skin.
Claims21
A transdermal drug delivery system (100) for providing controlled doses of a drug through skin, the transdermal drug delivery system (100) comprising:
- a thin adhesive substrate (110) for adhering to skin;
- a transdermal injector array (140) coupled to the substrate (110), the transdermal injector array (140) having one or more transdermal injectors (210, 220, 230) embedded within including a first transdermal injector (210) configured to administer a first substance to the skin to produce an appreciable breach in the surface of the skin.
A transdermal drug delivery system (100) for providing controlled doses of a drug through the skin of a human or other animal, the transdermal drug delivery system (100) comprising:
- a thin adhesive substrate (110) designed to adhere to skin;
- a first transdermal injector (210) means coupled to the substrate (110) for administering a first substance to the skin to produce an appreciable breach in the surface of the skin.
A transdermal drug delivery system (100) for providing controlled doses of a drug through the skin of a human or other animal, the transdermal drug delivery system (100) comprising:
- a thin adhesive substrate (110) designed to adhere to skin;
- a piezoelectric-driven transdermal injector (210, 220, 230) coupled to the substrate (110), the transdermal injector (210, 220, 230) configured to administer a plurality of different substances to the skin including a first substance to produce an appreciable breach in the surface of the skin.
