Abstract
A data transmission system has a light-emitting transmitter, a light-receiving receiver and a data transmission channel based on incoherent light. A pre-equalization device connected upstream of the transmitter is provided for the purpose of pre-equalizing a data signal which is to be transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver via the data transmission channel. The data transmission channel has constant transmission conditions within prescribed limits. The data signal to be transmitted is transmitted using a prescribed maximum bandwidth of the transmitter.

A data transmission system having a light-emitting transmitter, a light-receiving receiver and a data transmission channel based on incoherent light, comprising:
- a pre-equalization device arranged upstream of the transmitter configured to pre-equalize a data signal to be transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver by way of the data transmission channel, wherein
- the data transmission channel has constant transmission conditions within predescribed limits, and
- the transmission of the data signal to be transmitted takes place with a predetermined maximum bandwidth of the transmitter.
A method for transmitting data in a data transmission system having a light-emitting transmitter, a light-receiving receiver and a data transmission channel based on incoherent light, comprising:
- arranging a pre-equalization device upstream of the transmitter, the pre-equalization device being configured to pre-equalize a data signal to be transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver by way of the data transmission channel, wherein
- the data transmission channel has constant transmission conditions within predescribed limits, and
- the transmission of the data signal takes place with a predescribed maximum bandwidth of the transmitter.
