Simulating up-going pressure wavefield

A method for simulating up-going pressure wavefield data, comprising:

• receiving pressure data from pressure sensors disposed on a first streamer and a second streamer of an over/under streamer pair;
• receiving velocity data from velocity sensors disposed on the first streamer and the second streamer;
• creating simulated pressure data that would have been acquired by a simulated single streamer disposed at a depth equal to a vertical distance between the first streamer and the second streamer and that would have been acquired in a calm sea having a flat surface;
• creating simulated velocity data that would have been acquired by the simulated single streamer;
• and
• combining the simulated pressure data with the simulated velocity data to estimate the up-going pressure wavefield data.

A method for simulating up-going pressure wavefield data, comprising:

• receiving velocity data from velocity sensors disposed on a first streamer and a second streamer of an over/under streamer pair;
• receiving pressure data from pressure sensors disposed on the second streamer;
• creating simulated pressure data that would have been acquired by a simulated single streamer disposed at a depth equal to a vertical distance between the first streamer and the second streamer and that would have been acquired in a calm sea having a flat surface;
• creating simulated velocity data that would have been acquired by the simulated single streamer;
• and
• combining the simulated pressure data with the simulated velocity data to estimate the up-going pressure wavefield data.
