Abstract
A terminal for detecting the user's face and performing a special image capturing according to the movement of the user's face, and its control method are provided. The terminal includes a camera configured to receive an image of a subject, a display unit configured to output the received image of the subject and to overlay a pre-determined background image on the received image, and a controller configured to detect a face from the received image of the subject and display the background image based on the size and position of the detected face.

A terminal comprising:
- a camera configured to receive an image of a subject;
- a display unit configured to output the received image of the subject and to overlay a pre-determined background image on the received image;
- and
- a controller configured to detect a face from the received image of the subject and display the background image based on the size and position of the detected face.

- receiving an image of a subject via a camera;
- displaying the image of the subject on a screen;
- detecting a face from the image of the subject;

- overlaying a pre-determined background image based on the size and position of the detected face on the displayed image.
