Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for the production of trimethylolpropane with a low color number by treatment with activated carbon.

A method of producing trimethylolpropane, characterized in that essentially pure, liquid TMP is brought into contact with activated carbon and the activated carbon is subsequently separated off.
