Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of an organopolysiloxane functionalized with a benzalmalonate by hydrosilylation, said process involving the use of a hydroxy carboxylic acid or a cyclic ester thereof.

A process for the manufacture of an organopolysiloxane functionalized with a benzalmalonate by hydrosilylation characterized in that said hydrosilylation is carried out in the presence of a hydroxy carboxylic acid or a cyclic ester thereof.
