Abstract
Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment and/or prevention of disease involving metabolic syndromes, comprising (a) a therapeutically effective amount of a particular compound represented by Formula 1 as defined in the specification, or isomer, prodrug, or solvate or thereof, and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a diluent or an excipient, or any combination thereof.
Claims18
A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment or prevention of a disease involving metabolic syndrome, comprising:
- (a) a therapeutically effective amount of a compound represented by Formula I:
- wherein
- R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkene, C1-C6 alkyloxy, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, or heterocycloalkyl, C4-C10 aryl or heteroaryl, or two substituents thereof may be taken together to form a cyclic structure or form a double bond;
- R9 and R10 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkene, C1-C6 alkyloxy, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, or heterocycloalkyl, C4-C10 aryl or heteroaryl;
- R11, R12, R13, R14, R15 and R16 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkene, C1-C6 alkyloxy, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, or heterocycloalkyl, C4-C10 aryl or heteroaryl, or two substituents thereof may be taken together to form a cyclic structure or form a double bond;
- m and n are each independently 0 or 1, when m or n is 0, carbon atoms adjacent to m or n may form a cyclic structure via a direct bond;
- in the condition that m is 1, n is 0, carbon atoms adjacent to m or n form a cyclic structure via a direct bond, R9, R10 and R11 are hydrogen, and R12 and R13 are hydrogen or are taken together to form a double bond, (i) when R1 to R6 are hydrogen and R7 and R8 are methyl, R14 is not methyl, and (ii) when R1, R3 and R5 are hydrogen and R2, R4, R6 and R8 are taken together to form a double bond and R7 is methyl, R14 is not methyl;
- and
- (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a diluent, an excipient, or any combination thereof.
A compound represented by Formula 1-1 below, or an isomer, prodrug, or solvate thereof:
- wherein
- R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkene, C1-C6 alkyloxy, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, or heterocycloalkyl, C4-C10 aryl or heteroaryl, or two substituents thereof may be taken together to form a cyclic structure or form a double bond;
- R9 and R10 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkene, C1-C6 alkyloxy, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, or heterocycloalkyl, C4-C10 aryl or heteroaryl;
- R11, R12, R13, R14, R15 and R16 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkene, C1-C6 alkyloxy, C3-C8 cycloalkyl or heterocycloalkyl, C4-C10 aryl or heteroaryl, or two substituents thereof may be taken together to form a cyclic structure or form a double bond;
- m and n are each independently 0 or 1, when m or n is 0, carbon atoms adjacent to m or n may form a cyclic structure via a direct bond;
- and
- in the condition that m is 1, n is 0, carbon atoms adjacent to m or n form a cyclic structure via a direct bond, and R9 and R10 are hydrogen, (i) when R1 to R6 are hydrogen and R7 and R8 are methyl, if R12 and R13 is hydrogen, then R11 or R14 is not methyl, and if R12 and R13 form a double bond, then R14 is not methyl, (ii) when R1, R3 and R5 are hydrogen and R2, R4, R6 and R8 are taken together to form a double bond, if R7 is methyl and R12 and R13 are hydrogen, then R14 is not methyl, and if R7 is hydrogen and R12 and R13 are hydrogen, then R11 is not methyl, and if R7 is methyl and R12 and R13 form a double bond, then R14 is not methyl.
