Abstract
A device for the detection of micro particles that can be marked by probes or antibodies capable of being detected by radiation has a filter, a supply system, and a detection system. Fluid to be examined is passed over a filter to filter out the micro particles and to perform the marking steps by supplying corresponding marking substances to the filter.
Claims42
A detection device to detect biological micro particles, comprising:
- a filter being configured to filter out micro particles to be detected from a fluid to be measured;
- a supply system being configured to supply chemicals to mark the micro particles to be detected through or to the filter by probes marking the micro particles, the probes being configured to be detected by radiation, the probes being radiation emitting nucleic acid probes or radiation emitting proteins, and the supply system being configured to supply chemicals to regenerate the filter and to supply cleaning agents or conditioning agents through or to the filter;
- and
- a detection system being configured to detect the probes through the detection of radiation.
A detection method to detect biological micro particles including living bacteria, viruses, and/or biological toxins, comprising:
- passing a fluid containing the biological micro particles through a filter configured to filter out the biological micro particles;
- chemically marking the biological micro particles adhering to the filter by specific probes configured to be detected by radiation;
- and
- detecting the radiation correlating to the probes.
The detection method according to 38, wherein
- the biological micro particles adhering in the membrane are marked by antibodies or by marked probes configured to be detected by radiation.
