Abstract
A hair treatment composition comprising: i) a sugar comprising from three to four waters of crystallisation, esp. lactulose; ii) at least one further ingredient selected from the group consisting of a suitable carrier, a styling polymer or a surfactant.

A method of styling hair comprising applying to the hair a composition comprising:
- 0.05 to 49 wt % of the total composition of lactulose and at least one further ingredient selected from the group consisting of a suitable carrier, a styling polymer and a surfactant;
- and
- heating the hair to a temperature above 100° C.
Use of lactulose for imparting humidity resistance to hair.
Use of lactulose for straightening hair.
