Abstract
The present invention relates to systems and methods for reducing motion artifacts in x-ray imaging systems. The detector system output is sampled at a rate than the x-ray exposure rate to reduce blurring associated with motion of the detector and/or object being scanned.
Claims12
A computed tomography imaging system comprising an x-ray source that emits x-ray radiation at an exposure rate;
- an x-ray detector system then generates a detector output in response to the x-ray radiation;
- a sampling circuit that samples the X-ray detector output at a higher rate than the X-ray exposure rate.
A method of imaging an object comprising irradiating an object at different angles at an exposure rate;
- detecting radiation transmitted through the object;
- and sampling the detected radiation at a rate greater than the exposure rate.
