Abstract
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a preamble having sequence information for an OFDM system is provided. The preamble transmission method includes generating a preamble block including at least one frame having a header with a known sequence and a code block containing control information and transmitting the preamble block mapped to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) cells by repeating in frequency axis direction.
Claims8
A preamble transmission method comprising:
- generating a preamble block including at least one pair of a code block having control information and a header, the pair repeating to fill the preamble block;
- and
- transmitting the preamble block after mapping to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) cells by repeating on frequency axis.
A preamble reception method comprising:
- detecting a code block within a reception bandwidth;
- combining, if the code block repeats, the repeated code blocks;
- extracting control information from the code block;
- and
- decoding received data signal based on the control information.
A preamble transmitter comprising:
- an encoder for generating at least one code block having control information;
- a sequence generator for adding a header to the code block;
- a repeater for repeating, when a pair of the code block and the header is shorter than a preamble block, the pair to fill the preamble block;
- and
- a symbol mapper for transmitting the preamble block after mapping to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) cells by repeating on frequency axis.
A preamble receiver comprising:
- a control information extractor for extracting control information from a code block within a predetermined reception bandwidth after combining, if the code block repeats within the reception bandwidth, the repeated code blocks;
- and
- a data extractor for decoding a received data signal based on the control information.
