Carriage for the horizontal transfer of motor vehicles in automatic mechanical car parks

Self-propelled carriage on wheels (3), for the horizontal transfer, between bays lined up along the longitudinal axis of the carriage, of motor vehicles by lifting two or more wheels (22, 22′, 23, 23′), in single- or multistorey automatic mechanical car parks comprising a plurality of fixed and/or movable bays for the entrance, exit, parking and handling of motor vehicles, which carriage is characterized in that it comprises:

• one or two pairs of supporting means (58, 59) for the wheels (22, 22′, 23, 23′) of either or both of the axles of the motor vehicle, these means being movable symmetrically and perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal axis of the carriage and designed so as to perform a centering action by means of a horizontal motion of the vehicle's wheels variable according to the measure of the inside track of its pairs of wheels, causing that the longitudinal axis of the vehicle coincides with that of the carriage (3) same, the said supporting means (58, 59) being also designed to immobilize and lift from beneath the said wheels (22, 22′, 23, 23′).
