Abstract
An optical disk drive is disclosed. The distance between the surface of the optical disk and the inner upper surface of the optical disk drive is less than 3.5 mm while performing the data reading or writing procedures on the optical disk loaded in the optical disk drive.

An optical disk drive having a distance between a surface of an optical disk and an inner upper surface of the optical disk drive, and the distance being less than 3.5 mm while performing data reading or writing procedures on the optical disk loaded in the optical disk drive.
