Abstract
A distributed computational system, with local and remote processing components, is configured to provide a user interface of the local component that is stored in the local component but is controlled and updated by the remote component.
Claims14
A distributed system with a plurality of local and remote processing components connected via wired or wireless network, with a local user interface of each local processing component controlled by the remote processing component.
A computing system comprising:
- a processor;
- working memory containing data that, when executed by the processor, produces an operating system and user interface;
- wherein the data that produces the user interface is received from a remote master interface source that can remotely update the user interface independently of the computing system.
A computing system comprising:
- a processor;
- working memory containing data that, when executed by the processor, produces an operating system and master interface;
- wherein the master interface generates data providing a user interface such that the user interface data can be provided to a user computing system and, when executed by the user computing system, can produce a user interface at the user computing system independently of the master interface.
A method of operating a computing system, the method comprising:
- receiving a version number of a user interface from a user computing system at which the user interface is installed;
- determining if the received user interface version number corresponds to a current version number;
- providing an updated user interface data package to the user computing system if the version number is determined to be not current, such that the user computing system can install and execute the updated user interface data package and provide an updated user interface at the user computing system.
