A method comprising:
- processing a computational load by a first cluster of at least two associated cores of a multi-core processor;
- dynamically distributing at least a portion of the computational load to a second cluster of at least two associated cores of the multi-core processor to reduce a power density of the multi-core processor for the processing of the computational load;
- and
- processing the dynamically distributed portion of the computational load by the second cluster, wherein the dynamically distributing and processing occurs at a frequency greater than a thermal time constant associated with a temperature response of the first cluster and the second cluster.
