Abstract
An apparatus comprises an implantable sensor and a detection circuit. The implantable sensor provides a physiologic sensor signal and is to be positioned at a lymph node of a subject. The detection circuit detects a change in a physiologic parameter of the lymph node that exceeds a threshold change, and deems that the change in the physiologic parameter indicates a change in inflammation of an organ associated with the lymph node.
Claims25
An apparatus comprising:
- an implantable sensor configured to be positioned at a lymph node of a subject, wherein the implantable sensor provides a physiologic sensor signal;
- and
- a detection circuit configured to:
- detect a change in a physiologic parameter of the lymph node that exceeds a threshold change;
- and
- deem that the change in the physiologic parameter indicates a change in physiological status associated with the lymph node.
3 more elements
A system comprising:
- an implantable device comprising:
- an implantable sensor configured to be positioned at a lymph node of an organ of a subject, wherein the implantable sensor provides a physiologic sensor signal;
- a first communication circuit configured to communicate information with another device;
- and
- a detection circuit, communicatively coupled to the implantable sensor and the first communication circuit, configured to detect a change in a physiologic parameter of the lymph node;
- and
- an external device comprising:
- a second communication circuit configured to communicate information with the implantable device;
- and
- a processor, communicatively coupled to the second communication circuit, configured to:
- receive information related to the change in the physiologic parameter of the lymph node;
- and
- deem that the change in the physiologic parameter indicates a change physiologic status of the organ according to the change information.
10 more elements
A method comprising:
- providing an implantable sensor configured to be positioned at a lymph node of an organ of a subject;
- detecting a physiological change in the lymph node using the implantable sensor;
- and
- deeming that a change in inflammation of the organ occurred according to the physiological change in the lymph node.
