Method for diagnosis of a disease involving an anti-endothelin-receptor antibody

Use according to claim 14 of an endothelin-receptor peptide or for the diagnosis of a disease selected from the group of, diabetes graft rejection, pre-eclampsia, hypertension, vasculitis, collagenosis, an inflammatory rheumatic disease and arteriosclerosis.

Research and/or diagnostic kit for the diagnosis of a disease selected from the group of, diabetes graft rejection, pre-eclampsia also referred to as toxemia, hypertension, vasculitis, collagenosis, an inflammatory rheumatic disease and arteriosclerosis wherein, the kit comprises an endothelin-receptor peptide or a functional analog thereof.

Use according to claim 14 of an inhibitor of an anti-endothelin-receptor antibody or an inhibitor of an endothelin-receptor for the production of a medicament for the treatment of a disease selected from the group of diabetes graft rejection, pre-eclampsia, hypertension, vasculitis, collagenosis, an inflammatory rheumatic disease and arteriosclerosis, wherein the inhibitor of the endothelin-receptor is specific for the endothelin-receptor-A and is selected from the group of sitaxsentan and trans, trans-2(4-methoxydhenyl)-4-(1-3-benzodiazol-5-yl)-1-(dibutylamino-carbonylmethyl)-pyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid (ZD4054).

Method for the removal of anti-endothelin-receptor antibodies from isolated blood

• a. wherein in a first step the presence or absence of an anti-endothelin-receptor antibody is determined in a blood sample from a patient to be diagnosed wherein, the patient is thought to have a disease selected from the group of graft rejection, preeclampsia, hypertension, vasculitis, collagenosis, an inflammatory rheumatic disease and arteriosclerosis,
• wherein, upon determining the presence of an anti-endothelin-receptor antibody the isolated blood of the patient is subjected to a plasmapheresis.

• or use of an inhibitor of an anti-endothelin-receptor antibody or an inhibitor of an endothelin-receptor for the production of a medicament for the treatment of a disease selected from the group of diabetes graft rejection, pre-eclampsia, hypertension, vasculitis, collagenosis, an inflammatory rheumatic disease and arteriosclerosis, wherein the inhibitor of the endothelin-receptor is specific for the endothelin-receptor-A and is selected from the group of sitaxsentan and trans, trans-2(4-methoxydhenyl)-4-(1-3-benzodiazol-5-yl)-1-(dibutylamino-carbonylmethyl)-pyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid (ZD4054).
