A dietary or pharmaceutical composition containing at least an oregano extract or one of its volatile components in a effective amount for the treatment of disorders connected to impaired or reduced neurotransmission in an animal.
A method of treating a condition resulting from impaired neurotransmission comprising administering to an animal, including a human, an effective amount of an oregano extract or of at least one of its volatile components.
