A monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to a protein having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein the antibody is selected from the group consisting of antibodies designated as 1.1F10, 1.7A4, BR2-10b, BR2-11a, BR2-13a, BR2-14a, BR2-15a, BR2-16a, BR2-17a, BR2-18a, 8R2-19a, BR2-20a, BR2-21a, BR2-22a, BR2-23a, BR2-24a, and BR2-25a, or a chimeric or humanized form thereof.
