Abstract
A gas turbine engine airfoil including at least one outer tile coupled to a supporting member. The outer tile is coupled to the supporting member by a pin passing though the supporting member and the outer tile.
Claims15
A gas turbine engine blade, comprising:
- a structural member including a second fingered attachment portion;
- a plurality of cover members having an outer surface defining a portion of a flow surface, each of said plurality of cover members including a first fingered attachment portion;
- a plurality of pins located within said structural member and passing through said structural member and said cover members to couple said cover members to said structural member;
- and
- said fingered attachment portions engage to define engaged fingered attachment portions, and one of said plurality of pins passes through each of said engaged fingered attachment portions.
