System and method for acknowledgement packet transmitting and receiving

A communication apparatus, comprising:

• a receiver adapted to receive a first packet;
• a processing module adapted to process the first packet;
• and
• a transmitter adapted to:
• transmit a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is completed within the first defined interval;
• or
• transmit the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is not completed within the first defined interval and is completed within the second defined interval.

A communication apparatus, comprising:

• means for receiving a first packet;
• means for processing the first packet;
• and
• means for transmitting a second packet approximately at an end of:
• a first defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is completed within the first defined interval;
• or
• a second defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is not completed within the first defined interval and is completed within the second defined interval.

A computer program product for communication comprising:

• a computer readable medium encoded with instructions executable to:
• receive a first packet;
• process the first packet;
• and
• transmit a second packet approximately at an end of:
• a first defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is completed within the first defined interval;
• or
• a second defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is not completed within the first defined interval and is completed within the second defined interval.

A headset, comprising:

• a receiver adapted to receive a first packet;
• a processing module adapted to process the first packet;
• a transmitter adapted to:
• transmit a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is completed within the first defined interval;
• or
• transmit the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is not completed within the first defined interval and is completed within the second defined interval;
• and
• a transducer adapted to generate sound based on data contained in the first packet.

A watch, comprising:

• a receiver adapted to receive a first packet;
• a processing module adapted to process the first packet;
• a transmitter adapted to:
• transmit a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is completed within the first defined interval;
• or
• transmit the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is not completed within the first defined interval and is completed within the second defined interval;
• and
• a user interface adapted to generate an indication based on data contained in the first packet.

A sensing device, comprising:

• a receiver adapted to receive a first packet;
• a processing module adapted to process the first packet;
• a transmitter adapted to:
• transmit a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is completed within the first defined interval;
• or
• transmit the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval if the processing of the first packet is not completed within the first defined interval and is completed within the second defined interval;
• and
• a sensor adapted to generate sensed data, wherein the second packet includes the sensed data.

A communication method, comprising:

• transmitting a first packet;
• scanning a channel for a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet;
• and
• scanning the channel for the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet if the second packet was not received within the first defined interval.

A communication apparatus, comprising:

• a transmitter adapted to transmit a first packet;
• a receiver adapted to:
• scan a channel for a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet;
• and
• scan the channel for the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet if the second packet was not received within the first defined interval.

A computer program product for communication comprising:

• a computer readable medium encoded with instructions executable to:
• transmit a first packet;
• scan a channel for a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet;
• and
• scan the channel for the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet if the second packet was not received within the first defined interval.

A headset, comprising:

• a transmitter adapted to transmit a first packet;
• a receiver adapted to:
• scan a channel for a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined interval from the transmission of the first packet;
• and
• scan the channel for the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet if the second packet was not received within the first defined interval;
• and
• a transducer adapted to generate sound based on data contained in the second packet.

A watch, comprising:

• a transmitter adapted to transmit a first packet;
• a receiver adapted to:
• scan a channel for a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined interval from the transmission of the first packet;
• and
• scan the channel for the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet if the second packet was not received within the first defined interval;
• and
• a user interface adapted to generate an indication based on data contained in the second packet.

A sensing device, comprising:

• a transmitter adapted to transmit a first packet;
• a receiver adapted to:
• scan a channel for a second packet approximately at an end of a first defined interval from the transmission of the first packet;
• and
• scan the channel for the second packet approximately at an end of a second defined time interval from the transmission of the first packet if the second packet was not received within the first defined interval;
• and
• a sensor adapted to generate sensed data, wherein the first packet includes the sensed data.
