Abstract
A system and method in accordance with exemplary embodiments may include receiving, from a user system, one or more protocol analysis request messages via a network, transmitting, to one or more multipurpose interface devices, one or more control signals based on the one or more protocol analysis request messages, receiving, from the one or more multipurpose interface devices, protocol analysis data associated with data traffic transmitted on one or more test networks in response to the transmitted control signals, and outputting, to the user system, the protocol analysis data via the network.
Claims21
A method, comprising:
- receiving, from a user system, one or more protocol analysis request messages via a network;
- transmitting, to one or more multipurpose interface devices, one or more control signals based on the one or more protocol analysis request messages;
- receiving, from the one or more multipurpose interface devices, protocol analysis data associated with data traffic transmitted on one or more test networks in response to the transmitted control signals;
- and
- outputting, to the user system, the protocol analysis data via the network.
A system, comprising:
- one or more storage mediums for storing protocol analysis data;
- and
- a protocol analysis controller device communicatively coupled to the one or more storage mediums and a network, the protocol analysis controller device is configured to:
- receive, from a user system, one or more protocol analysis request messages via the network;
- transmit, to one or more multipurpose interface devices, one or more control signals based on the one or more protocol analysis request messages;
- receive, from the one or more multipurpose interface devices, protocol analysis data associated with data traffic transmitted on one or more test networks in response to the transmitted control signals;
- store the protocol analysis data in the one or more storage mediums;
- and
- output, to the user system, the protocol analysis data via the network.
A method, comprising:
- receiving, from a user system, one or more protocol analysis request messages via a network;
- processing the one or more protocol analysis request messages to determine one or more control signals;
- transmitting, to one or more multipurpose interface devices, the one or more control signals based on the one or more protocol analysis request messages;
- receiving, from the one or more multipurpose interface devices, protocol analysis data associated with data traffic transmitted on one or more test networks in response to the transmitted control signals;
- storing the protocol analysis data in at least one of a database, local storage media, and a remote storage area network (SAN) that are communicatively coupled to the network;
- and
- outputting, to the user system, the protocol analysis data via the network.
