Abstract
A computer system may comprise a graphics controller, which may support a display handler. In one embodiment, the display handler may receive configuration values comprising a quantity value and a blending order. In one embodiment, the display handler may determine the number of universal pixel planes using the quantity value. The display handler may provide a number of universal pixel planes equal to the quantity value and the universal pixel planes may be provided using a reference universal pixel plane. The display handler may render each of the universal pixel planes into a type of pixel plane indicated by the corresponding elements of the blending order.
Claims27
A method comprising:
- receiving a first set of configuration values, wherein the first set of configuration values include a first quantity value and a first blending order
- providing a first set of universal pixel planes using a reference pixel plane, wherein the number of universal pixel planes in the first set is determined using the first quantity value,
- rendering universal pixel planes of the first set of universal pixel planes as a type indicated by a matching element of the first blending order.
A machine-readable storage medium comprising a plurality of instructions that in response to being executed result in a processor comprising:
- receiving a first set of configuration values, wherein the first set of configuration values include a first quantity value and a first blending order
- providing a first set of universal pixel planes using a reference pixel plane, wherein the number of universal pixel planes in the first set is determined using the first quantity value,
- rendering universal pixel planes of the first set of universal pixel planes as a type indicated by a matching element of the first blending order.
An apparatus comprising:
- an interface,
- a control unit coupled to the interface, and
- a plurality of programmable arrays coupled to the control unit,
- wherein the control unit is to
- receive a first set of configuration values over the interface, wherein the first set of configuration values include a first quantity value and a first blending order
- provide the plurality of programmable arrays as a first set of universal pixel planes using a reference pixel plane, wherein the number of universal pixel planes in the first set is determined using the first quantity value, and
- render universal pixel planes of the first set of universal pixel planes as a type indicated by a matching element of the first blending order.
