Abstract
Golf ball components, such as cores, intermediate layers, and covers, formed with compositions including precursors with acrylate functionality crosslinked with a curing agent.
Claims12
A golf ball comprising a core and a cover, wherein the cover is cast from a composition comprising:
- a polyurea backbone formed from the reaction of at least one isocyanate and at
- least one amine-terminated compound;
- at least one unsaturated acrylate functional segment reacted with the polyurea backbone;
- and
- at least one free radical initiator;
- wherein the at least one unsaturated acrylate functional segment comprises
- amine-terminated acrylate, amine-terminated methacrylate, amine-terminated methyl methacrylate, amine-terminated ethyl acrylate, amine-terminated ethyl methacrylate, amine-terminated butyl acrylate, amine-terminated butyl methacrylate, amine-terminated glycidyl acrylate, amine-terminated glycidyl methacrylate, or mixtures thereof.
