Abstract
A base station includes a scheduler at least determining a resource block assigned to a data channel, a transmitted signal generation unit generating a signal to transmit the data channel in accordance with scheduling information supplied from the scheduler, a transmission unit transmitting the signal to a user apparatus, and a resource block size adjustment unit adjusting a size of the resource block.

A base station, comprising:
- a scheduler at least determining a resource block assigned to a data channel;
- a transmitted signal generation unit generating a signal to transmit the data channel in accordance with scheduling information supplied from the scheduler;
- a transmission unit transmitting the signal to a user apparatus;
- and
- a resource block size adjustment unit adjusting a size of the resource block.

A method for use in a base station, comprising the steps of:
- a scheduler at least determining a resource block assigned to a data channel;
- generating a signal to transmit the data channel in accordance with scheduling information supplied from the scheduler;
- and
- transmitting the signal to a user apparatus,
- wherein a size of the resource block is adjusted depending on at least one of a downlink channel condition and a data size.

A user apparatus, comprising:
- a reception unit receiving a signal from a base station, the signal including scheduling information for at least specifying a resource block assigned to a data channel;
- a channel extraction unit extracting a channel destined for the user apparatus from the received signal in accordance with the scheduling information;
- and
- an assignment pattern identification unit identifying an assignment pattern for specifying positions of different sizes of resource blocks in at least one of a time axis and a frequency axis based on the control channel received from the base station,
- wherein the channel destined for the user apparatus is extracted in accordance with the identified assignment pattern.

A method for use in a user apparatus, comprising the steps of:
- receiving a signal from a base station, the signal including scheduling information for at least specifying a resource block assigned to a data channel;
- and
- extracting a channel destined for the user apparatus from the received signal in accordance with the scheduling information,
- wherein an assignment pattern for specifying positions of different sizes of resource blocks in at least one of a time axis and a frequency axis is determined based on a control channel received from the base station, and the channel destined for the user apparatus is extracted in accordance with the determined assignment pattern.
