Abstract
The invention relates to a colouring solution for dental ceramic framework comprising a solvent, a colouring agent comprising metal ions, and a complexing agent, wherein the amount of complexing agent is sufficient to dissolve the colouring agent in the solvent. The invention also relates to a process for colouring dental ceramic framework and dental ceramic framework coloured with the colouring solution.
Claims16
A dental ceramic framework colouring solution comprising:
- a solvent,
- a complexing agent with Y number of coordinating ligands, the complexing agent being present in an amount of X1 mol and having at least 2 coordinating ligands,
- a colouring agent comprising metal ions, the metal ions being present in an amount of X2 mol,
- wherein the complexing agent is present in an amount sufficient to dissolve the colouring agent in the solvent, and fulfills the equation:
- X1/X2*Y> about 5.5.
A process of using of a complexing agent for reducing the sintering
- distortion of dental ceramic framework during firing, the process comprises the step of treating partially sintered ceramic framework with a colouring solution comprising a complexing agent and sintering the partially sintered ceramic framework to full density and/or for producing a storage stable colouring solution to be used for colouring dental ceramic framework.
