Abstract
A protein derived from an outer layer of Burkholderia pseudomallei or a fragment or a variant of said protein, wherein the protein, fragment, or variant is capable of producing a protective immune response in an animal, for use in the treatment of infection by Burkholderia species. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising such proteins are also described and claimed.

A protein derived from an outer layer of Burkholderia pseudomallei or a fragment or a variant of said protein, wherein the protein, fragment, or variant is capable of producing a protective immune response in an animal, wherein the immune response is protective against infection by Burkholderia species.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a protein derived from an outer layer of Burkholderia pseudomallei or a fragment or a variant of said protein, wherein the protein, fragment, or variant is capable of producing a protective immune response in an animal, in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.
