Abstract
In a xerographic printing apparatus, including a charge receptor, the charge receptor being movable in a process direction; and a charge device for applying a charge to a surface of the charge receptor, the charge device having a corona member including a pin array being oriented and extending substantially non perpendicular to the surface of the charge receptor in the process direction.

An electrophotographic printing apparatus, comprising:
- a charge receptor, the charge receptor being movable in a process direction;
- and
- a charge device for applying a charge to a surface of the charge receptor, the charge device having a corona member including a pin array being oriented and extending substantially non perpendicular to said surface of the charge receptor in the process direction.
