Abstract
Provided is a printing device including: a printing unit which has a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid and prints an image; an inspection unit which inspects whether or not the liquid can be ejected from each of the nozzles; a facsimile unit which receives image data via a communication line; and a controller which allows the inspection unit to perform the inspection at a predetermined timing when the printing unit performs the printing based on image data other than image data received by the facsimile unit and allows the inspection unit to perform the inspection before the printing regardless of the predetermined timing when the printing unit performs the printing based on the image data received by the facsimile unit.
Claims8
A printing device comprising:
- a printing unit which has a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid and prints an image;
- an inspection unit which inspects whether or not the liquid can be ejected from each of the nozzles;
- a facsimile unit which receives image data via a communication line;
- and
- a controller which allows the inspection unit to perform the inspection at a predetermined timing when the printing unit performs the printing based on image data other than image data received by the facsimile unit and allows the inspection unit to perform the inspection before the printing regardless of the predetermined timing when the printing unit performs the printing based on the image data received by the facsimile unit.
A printing method of a printing device which has a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid and prints an image based on image data, the method comprising:
- inspecting whether or not the liquid can be ejected from each of the nozzles;
- and
- receiving image data via a communication line,
- wherein the inspection is performed at a predetermined timing when the printing is performed based on image data other than image data received by a facsimile unit and the inspection is performed before the printing regardless of the predetermined timing when the printing is performed based on the image data received by the facsimile unit.
A printing device comprising:
- a printing unit which has a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid and prints an image;
- an inspection unit which inspects whether or not the liquid can be ejected from each of the nozzles;
- a facsimile unit which receives image data via a communication line;
- and
- a controller which allows the inspection unit to perform the inspection at a predetermined timing when the printing unit performs the printing based on image data other than image data received by the facsimile unit and allows the inspection unit to perform the inspection before the printing at timing with frequency higher than that of the predetermined timing when the printing unit performs the printing based on the image data received by the facsimile unit.
