Abstract
The present invention shows a contactless chip card comprising a controllable demodulation unit for demodulating an amplitude-modulated carrier signal, a measuring unit for determining a degree of modulation of the modulated carrier signal, and a control unit for controlling the demodulation unit on the basis of the determined degree of modulation of the carrier signal.

A contactless chip card comprising an adjustable demodulation unit for demodulating a received amplitude-modulated carrier signal, a measuring unit for determining a degree of modulation of the carrier signal, and a control unit for controlling the demodulation unit on the basis of the determined degree of modulation of the carrier signal.
A method for controlling a demodulation unit for demodulating an amplitude-modulated carrier signal, in which method a measuring unit determines a degree of modulation of the amplitude-modulated carrier signal and forwards the determined degree of modulation to a control unit, the control unit evaluates the determined degree of modulation and controls the demodulation unit on the basis of the determined degree of modulation.
