Portioning of food stuff

An apparatus for portioning meat, comprising:

• a base unit,
• a control means,
• a first drive means mounted to said base unit,
• a casing mounted to said base unit, further comprising:
• a second drive means to cooperate with said first drive means for rotating said casing, and
• a pressing member dividing said casing into at least two chambers, an in-feed chamber and a pressing chamber,
• said pressing member is mounted to said base unit off-center, with respect to said casing, substantially closer to the pressing chamber such that said pressing member has freedom to move in direction substantially perpendicular to the off-center direction,
• wherein said pressing member rotates along with said casing when said first and second drive means cooperate causing said pressing member to glide within said casing thus producing a pressing force between said pressing member and said casing,
• an ejecting device, mounted to said base unit, for ejecting meat from said pressing chamber,
• a portioning means for receiving the meat ejected from said pressing chamber, further comprising:
• a portioning plate,
• third drive means for operating said portioning plate,
• a position adjustable bottom piece, wherein said adjustable bottom piece is automatically adjusted to optimize the yield of the meat,
• a cutting means, positioned between the pressing chamber and the portioning plate,
• wherein the meat is placed in said in-feed chamber, said in-feed chamber and said pressing chamber change places due to the off-center placement of the pressing member when said drive means rotate the casing 180°, thus said in-feed chamber becomes a new-pressing chamber, and said pressing chamber becomes a new-in-feed chamber.
