Abstract
A device for travelling along a pipeline having fluid flowing along it comprises means for extracting power from said fluid flow and using that power to move the device along the pipeline against the fluid flow. The device is arranged in a series of coupled modules.

A device for travelling along a pipeline, said device comprising:
- a first module;
- and
- a second module including a turbine;
- wherein the first module and second module are coupled to one another in such a way as to allow mechanical drive from the turbine to be transmitted between the modules.
