Apparatus, system, and method for collecting metrics from a non-monolithic website

A method to collect metrics from a non-monolithic website having external content, the method comprising:

• monitoring movements of a pointer in a web page, the web page to display a content feed of the external content;
• identifying a pointer movement representative of an interaction gesture, the interaction gesture indicative of a type of interaction with the content feed of the external content;
• and
• generating a score for the content feed in response to the pointer movement comprising the interaction gesture, the score comprising a quantity of the reported type of interaction with the content feed.

An apparatus to collect metrics from a non-monolithic website having external content, the apparatus comprising:

• a pointer movement monitor to monitor movements of a pointer in a web page, the web page to display a content feed of the external content;
• an interaction reporter coupled to the pointer movement monitor, the interaction reporter to identify a pointer movement representative of an interaction gesture, the interaction gesture indicative of a type of interaction with the content feed of the external content, the interaction reporter further configured to report the pointer movement in response to the pointer movement comprising the interaction gesture;
• and
• a score generator coupled to the interaction reporter, the score generator to generate a score for the content feed, the score indicative of a level of interaction with the content feed.

A system to collect metrics from a non-monolithic website, the system comprising:

• a web server comprising a computer configured to host web content;
• an interactive web application coupled to the web server, the interactive web application to display the web content on a display and to exchange data with the web server;
• and
• a monitoring application coupled to the interactive web application, the monitoring application comprising:
• a pointer movement monitor to monitor movements of a pointer in a web page, the web page to display a content feed of external content;
• an interaction reporter coupled to the pointer movement monitor, the interaction reporter to identify a pointer movement representative of an interaction gesture, the interaction gesture indicative of a type of interaction with the content feed of the external content, the interaction reporter further configured to report the pointer movement in response to the pointer movement comprising the interaction gesture;
• and
• a score generator coupled to the interaction reporter, the score generator to generate a weighted score for the content feed, the weighted score indicative of a level of interaction with the content feed.
