Abstract
A process for the adjustment of a catalyst's or a catalyst precursor's suspension and settling properties, whereby the catalyst is treated with flocculants.
Claims69
A process for the adjustment of a catalyst's or a catalyst precursor's suspension and settling properties, including:
- settling rate after stirring of the suspension,
- degree of agglomerate formation during settling of the catalyst,
- settling density of the settled catalysts,
- amount of and type of void volume inside the particle agglomerates,
- size of the particle agglomerates,
- appearance and content of the overstanding solution above the settled catalysts and
- speed in which the settled catalyst can be resuspended,
- comprising treating the catalyst with flocculants.

A process for the use of flocculants comprising adding flocculants to production waste streams of a catalyst or to catalytic reaction waste streams for the faster and clearer sedimentation of catalyst fines.
(canceled)
A process for the use of flocculants for the more effective interaction in a system between a catalyst and a reactant or between a catalyst and a reaction's additive or between a catalyst, a reactant and the reactant's additive comprising adding a flocculant to said system.
