Compounds of the avermectin family or derivatives thereof, notably emamectins are formulated into pharmaceutical compositions useful for the treatment of dermatological conditions in humans, in particular rosacea.

A pharmaceutical composition useful for the treatment of dermatological conditions in humans, comprising at least one compound selected from among emamectin B1a, emamectin B1b and derivatives thereof formulated into a pharmaceutically acceptable medium therefor.
