Multi-action drain cleaning composition and method

A composition for use as a component of a multi-action drain cleaner comprising:

• a bacterium selectively cultured to subsist in an environment that is at least one of a peroxygen-rich environment, a high-heat environment, and a high-pH environment.

A bio-film for reducing or preventing a buildup of organic material in a pipe system comprising:

• a matrix, and
• bacteria selectively cultured to subsist in an environment that is at least one of a peroxygen-rich environment, a high-heat environment, and a high-pH environment.

A pipe system modified to reduce or prevent a buildup of organic material comprising:

• a pipe system, and
• a bio-film comprising a matrix and bacteria selectively cultured to subsist in an environment that is at least one of a peroxygen-rich environment, a high-heat environment, and a high-pH environment.

A method for selectively culturing a bacterium to subsist in an environment that is at least one of a peroxygen-rich environment, a high-heat environment, and a high-pH environment comprising the following steps:

• providing at least one bacterium to be selectively cultured;
• exposing said at least on bacterium to increasing concentrations of at least one of sodium percarbonate and sodium carbonate.

A method for creating a bio-film for reducing or preventing a buildup of organic material in a pipe system comprising the following step:

• providing to a pipe system a multi-action drain cleaning composition comprising
• a component capable of producing an enzymatic reaction, wherein
• said component comprises at least one bacterium selectively cultured to subsist in an environment that is at least one of a peroxygen-rich environment, a high-heat environment, and a high-pH environment.

A method for creating a pipe system with a bio-film for reducing or preventing a buildup of organic material in the pipe system comprising the following steps:

• providing a pipe system;
• and
• providing to said pipe system a multi-action drain cleaning composition comprising a component capable of producing an enzymatic reaction, wherein said component comprises at least one bacterium selectively cultured to subsist in an environment that is at least one of a peroxygen-rich environment, a high-heat environment, and a high-pH environment.
