Abstract
Disclosed herein compositions including povidone-iodine (PVP-I) useful in the treatment of acute and chronic bacterial, viral and fungal infections of the internal, middle and external ear of mammals, including humans.
Claims9
A method of treating a mammal having an otic infection, the method comprising contacting the ear of the mammal with a composition comprising:
- a. povidone iodine (PVP-I) at a concentration of 0.01%-5.0%;
- and
- b. a steroid at a concentration of 0.01%-2.0%.
