Sheet post-processing unit and image forming apparatus

A sheet post-processing unit, comprising:

• a sheet stacking means for stacking each sheet sequentially discharged one after another;
• a sheet conveying means capable of conveying each sheet discharged to said sheet stacking means in a direction intersecting with a sheet discharging direction in which each sheet is discharged and of separating from each sheet by moving up in a vertical direction;
• an intersectional moving means for moving said sheet conveying means in the direction intersecting with the sheet discharging direction;
• a vertical moving means for moving up and down said sheet conveying means in the vertical direction;
• and
• an intersectional regulating member for aligning each sheet by hitting with an edge of each sheet on a side intersecting with the sheet discharging direction,
• wherein said vertical moving means moves said sheet conveying means from a separation position separated from each sheet and distant from said intersectional regulating member to a press-contact position for pressing an upper surface of each sheet,
• wherein said intersectional moving means moves said sheet conveying means from said press-contact position in a direction of said intersectional regulating member while pressing an upper surface of a sheet by the sheet conveying means,
• wherein said vertical moving means separates said sheet conveying means from each sheet, and
• wherein said intersectional moving means moves said sheet conveying means in a state separated from each sheet in a direction of a separation position in the direction intersecting with the sheet discharging direction.
