Abstract
This invention is directed toward a reel seat kit and method of use which allows a particular rod to be modified to accept a plurality of reels, and wherein reproducible and predictable rod action may be achieved via judicious placement of a particular reel in relationship to the rod.
Claims6
A universal reel mounting kit for a fishing rod comprising:
- an elongate reel mounting surface having a longitudinal axis and a circumferential surface, said reel mounting surface adapted for mechanical engagement with a fishing rod blank;
- securement means for removably attaching a fishing reel to said reel mounting surface, said securement means being infinitely positionable about said longitudinal axis and about said circumferential surface;
- and
- gripping means adjustably positionable longitudinally along said fishing rod blank.
