Abstract
A method and system for remotely accessing an intelligent IP telephony device is provided. Information about at least one IP telephony device associated with a user is stored in a database. The database is accessible to a user through a secured environment. From a remote location, the user may logon to the database and select one or more actions to be performed on any of the IP telephony devices to which they have access.

A connection and data server for remotely accessing an IP telephony endpoint device comprising:
- first communication logic operable to communicate with one or more IP telephony devices, said IP telephony devices including account information and remote management actions available to registered users;
- second communication logic operable to communicate with a remote client;
- means for presenting data representing one or more web pages for displaying the IP telephony device information and remote management actions;
- and
- remote management logic to perform the remote management actions via a secure connection.
