Abstract
A water-soluble dye of the Formula (1): D1-L-D2 Formula (1) wherein: D1 and D2 each independently is an anthrapyridone, anthrapyrazole, anthrapyrimidine or anthrapyrimidone group; and L is a single covalent bond or a linking group which permits at least partial delocalisation of electrons between D1 and D2. Also, compositions and inks, printing processes, printed material and ink-jet printer cartridges.

A water-soluble dye of the Formula (1):
- D1-L-D2 Formula (1)
- wherein:
- D1 and D2 each independently is an anthrapyridone, anthrapyrazole anthrapyrimidine or anthrapyrimidone group;
- and
- L is a single covalent bond or a linking group which permits at least partial delocalisation of electrons between D1 and D2
