Abstract
A sustained release pharmaceutical composition comprising coating comprising at least one water-insoluble permeable polymer and at least one water soluble polymer and homogenous cores containing only tolterodine or a salt thereof and microcrystalline cellulose is described.
Claims26
A sustained release pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a. a coating comprising at least one water-insoluble permeable polymer and at least one water soluble polymer;
- and
- b. homogenous cores containing only tolterodine or a salt thereof and microcrystalline cellulose.
A process for the manufacture of a sustained release pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a. preparing pellets containing only tolterodine and microcrystalline cellulose by extrusion and spheronisation;
- and
- b. coating said pellets with at least one water-insoluble permeable polymer and at least one water soluble polymer.
A process for the manufacture of a sustained release pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a. preparing homogenous cores containing only tolterodine and microcrystalline cellulose;
- and
- b. coating said cores with at least one water-insoluble permeable polymer and at least one water soluble polymer.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising pellets containing only tolterodine and microcrystalline cellulose.
A coating for pharmaceutical composition, wherein said coating comprises ethylcellulose and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose with viscosity in range 12 to 18 cP, wherein weight ratios of ethylcellulose to hydroxypropylmethylcellulose are between 8:1 and 10:1.
