Abstract
A composition comprising a pigment dispersed in a liquid ester blend vehicle is disclosed, wherein the amount of pigment dispersed in the vehicle is substantially greater than previous pigment dispersions and the dispersion has improved flow properties to facilitate incorporation into a cosmetic formulation. The ester blend contains tridecyl trimellitate blended with dipentaerythritol hexacaprylate, tridecyl stearate and neopentyl glycol dicaprylate.

A composition comprising about 5% to about 70%, by weight, of a pigment, and about 30% to about 95%, by weight, of an ester blend containing TDTM, TDS, DPHC, and NPGC.
A method of forming a concentrated stable pigment dispersion comprising admixing 60 to 70 weight parts of a pigment with 30 to 40 weight parts of an ester blend containing TDTM, TDS, DPHC, and NPGC.
The cosmetic formulation selected from the group consisting of a lipstick, a facial makeup, and a coloring stick.
