A method and apparatus for processing in Read SystemInfo state in a wireless communication network, the method comprising issuing a ControlChannelMAC.Activate command, issuing a OverheadMessages.Activate command and determining if a SystemInfoBlock is received within TISPSyncAcq seconds.

A method of processing in Read SystemInfo state in a wireless communication network, the method characterized in that:
- issuing a ControlChannelMAC.Activate command;
- issuing a OverheadMessages.Activate command;
- and
- determining if a SystemInfoBlock is received within TISPSyncAcq seconds.
A computer readable medium including instructions thereon, characterized in that:
- a first set of instructions for issuing a ControlChannelMAC.Activate command;
- a second set of instructions for issuing a OverheadMessages.Activate command;
- and
- a third set of instructions for determining if a SystemInfoBlock is received within TISPSyncAcq seconds.
An apparatus operable in a wireless communication system, the apparatus characterized in that:
- means for issuing a ControlChannelMAC.Activate command;
- means for issuing a OverheadMessages.Activate command;
- and
- means for determining if a SystemInfoBlock is received within seconds.
