A liquid crystal composition comprising:
- a liquid crystal compound;
- and a chiral agent, wherein the liquid crystal compound has an intrinsic birefringence Δ(λ) at a wavelength λ, and the intrinsic birefringence Δ(λ) satisfies formula (1):
- Δn(450 nm)/Δn(550 nm)<1.0
